Earlier this week, Aston Villa’s Jhon Durán revealed that he wasn’t not aware of interest from AC Milan or Chelsea, but admitted he would be pleased to play for either of them. The striker made this claim to Win Sports journalist Pipe Sierra.

TuttoMercatoWeb now explain that the Colombia international continues to be on the Serie A side’s radar.

They also had a chat with Sierra, to know his views about the possibility of the Aston Villa player arriving at the San Siro, either this month or next summer.

“Absolutely yes, I believe that Jhon is a perfect player for Milan, that he is suited to a club like this. He is strong, he is fast, he is a real fighter,” he said.

The 20-year-old came up through the ranks of Envigado’s academy and made his way into their first team in 2019. He then moved to MLS when Chicago Fire FC signed him in 2022, a year before he arrived at Aston Villa.

Durán has clocked in 783 minutes from 35 games for the Premier League side, and most of it is from this season, where he has managed four goals and an assist from 23 games. Unai Emery has used him mainly as a substitute at Villa Park.

Despite this, the manager has explained that he wants to have the South American at his disposal. The Colombian journalist is not pleased with Durán’s situation and has urged him to leave Villa Park.

“He needs to go away and find space, to play. He’s had few in Europe, he’s a mystery to us also because he’s an international, but he’s very young and is already at the top. Now all he has to do is find space,” Sierra explained.
