There appears to be some confusion regarding what’s going to happen with Jean-Clair Todibo in January.
Depending on the source, the French youngster, who is struggling for game time at Barcelona, is either willing to go out on loan or wants to stay in Catalonia to fight for his space, with many clubs, including Watford, reported as being interested in helping him out if it’s the former of the two.
Milan are also said to be in the queue, but Gazzetta dello Sport on Tuesday explained the price asked by the La Liga club was too high, as they were looking for a sale of €20-25m with a buyback clause being inserted in the deal.
They don’t mention Watford, but TuttoUdinese in their article on the situation do, explaining the option of the moving to Vicarage Road ‘remains alive’ for the player, as the Premier League club look to turn their season around.
The appointment of Nigel Pearson has yet to give the desired results in his first two games, but there will be hope that games against Sheffield United and Aston Villa around the Christmas period will provide a chance to pick up some points.
Whether Todibo joins them after that once the January window has started, however, remains to be seen.
