Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek now seems closer to leaving Old Trafford.
According to Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg, the player has ‘decided’ to join Eintracht Frankfurt on a loan deal.
It’s said that club president Markus Krösche and coach Dino Toppmöller managed to ‘convince’ the Manchester United player of making the switch.
The clubs are now said to be negotiating the final details of the deal. That’s because Frankfurt will not play a loan fee, but are ‘pushing’ to have an option to buy him.
Plettenberg claims the Bundesliga side’s intention is to get the deal done this calendar year, as van de Beek would be in their squad on the 2nd of January.
Since there doesn’t seem to be a full agreement between the clubs yet, the reporter makes it clear that the medical hasn’t been scheduled as of yet.
Van de Beek has only played for 21 minutes this season and is clearly out of Erik ten Hag’s plans at Old Trafford. Now Manchester United certainly only hopes he does well in Germany to make a future permanent exit possible.
