Bordeaux’s Francois Kamano scored eight goals in 35 league appearances last term, but this season, the striker has been in fine form and has found the back of the net on five occasions in Ligue 1.

Only Marseille’s Florian Thauvin has scored (six) more goals than the 22-year-old in the league and his impressive start for the French club has not gone unnoticed. Italian website Calciomercatio claims he has drawn attention from the Premier League.

It’s claimed the Guinean international has ‘finished in the sights’ of Newcastle United, Brighton & Hove Albion and Fulham and that’s the only information mentioned in the report.

Rafael Benitez’s side may have an advantage over the other two English clubs as the Magpies have conducted business with Les Girondins, having signed Yoan Gouffran and Henri Saivet in the past.

The attacker joined Les Girondins from Bastia in 2016 and still has three years left on the contract, meaning the French club are unlikely to sanction Kamano’s sale, especially after losing Malcom to Barcelona in the summer.

We will keep on eye on this to see if there’s more rumours linking the African player with any of Newcastle, Fulham or Brighton.
