Santiago Giménez and his agent were in London to watch Arsenal beat Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.
On Tuesday, Calciomercato.it reported the representative’s trip was seen as a sign that the Feyenoord star could move to the Premier League in the summer window.
TUDN in Mexico also talk about the striker and his agent’s visit to Tottenham’s home stadium, and they provide more updates on his future.
The Mexico international’s father, Christian ‘Chaco’ Giménez, along with Mariel Duayhe, had made a trip to Italy to hold talks with AC Milan.
It’s explained that Tottenham and the Serie A side are the 23-year-old’s next possible destinations, and ‘everything indicates’ that his ‘future is between these two’ clubs.
With regards to Ange Postecoglou’s side, the report states they have been interested in signing him ‘for a long time’. Giménez reportedly wants to make a switch to the Premier League but a move to Italy can’t be ruled out.
He’s a priority target for the Rossoneri and would cost them around $45m [€42.2m]. Feyenoord, for their part, will wait until the summer to receive offers.
Tottenham are currently fifth in the table, seven points behind fourth placed Aston Villa, with two games in hand. Lack of Champions League football would give the Italian club an advantage over Spurs in the transfer race.
Meanwhile, Mexican journalist Julio Rodríguez has also reported that everything points to Tottenham or Milan as Giménez’s next club.
