Three days ago, Sky Deutschland reported Arsenal and Liverpool are among the clubs interested in signing Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich.
The Germany international has a year left on his deal and his future could be away from the Bundesliga side.
That’s according to Sky journalist Florian Plettenberg, who took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to say the Arsenal and Liverpool target can leave Bayern if there’s a suitable offer.
New Bayern manager Vincent Kompany isn’t counting on the 29-year-old, and the focus is to strengthen the midfield with Fulham’s João Palhinha.
The Bavarian club aren’t planning to extend Kimmich’s contract, and therefore, his exit is ‘getting closer’. Plettenberg says Kimmich could leave in the summer window or as a free agent in 2025.
Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Real Madrid or Barcelona are all mentioned, and the journalist says Kimmich ‘only wants to join’ one of these clubs, if he were to leave Bayern.
Bild also say Kimmich could leave Bayern either this summer or next year as neither party is in favour of extending his deal.
The German newspaper questions whether a club is willing to invest between €30m and €40m this summer and also offer a €20m per year deal to Kimmich.
Kimmich will have a meeting with Bayern after the Euros and everything indicates he will leave.
