Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho’s name could end up being placed on Inter Milan’s table for the summer, according to InterLive.it.
The Serie A side are in the market to bolster their attack and have identified a few targets. They have been forced to end their pursuit for some, either due to competition or the asking price.
Inter have set their eyes on the Leicester player, who it’s assumed would be made available on a cheap deal if the Foxes are relegated from the Premier League this season.
After the 2-2 draw against Everton on Monday, Leicester have climbed to 16th place, level on points with Leeds United and Nottingham Forest, who are in the 17th and 18th spot respectively.
The 26-year-old could say ‘goodbye immediately’ to Leicester, if they were to drop out of the top flight.
His deal expires in 2024. It’s precisely for this reason, the ‘divorce’ between the Foxes and the Nigeria international could ‘already take place’ in the summer, even if the club avoid relegation.
In that case, Inter would be an option. If they desire to acquire his services, Iheanacho’s agent would propose him ‘directly to the Nerazzurri’ for a deal around €10m.
