Argentine journalist Gustavo Yarroch reports Bournemouth’s Julio Soler would welcome contact from River Plate.

People close to the young winger say he would be open to playing for the Buenos Aires club, even though the Premier League side prefer to loan him within Europe.

This adds a new layer to the story first raised by Uriel Iugt, who revealed that River made an informal enquiry to Bournemouth to test the possibility of a loan.

The English club made it clear that they intend to keep Soler in European football. Now, however, Yarroch states that the player’s own camp would be receptive to a call from Marcelo Gallardo, who recently returned to River and is shaping plans for 2026.

Yarroch did not mention any active talks. Instead, he framed the situation as an expression of interest from Soler’s side. He sees River as an attractive destination.

Bournemouth’s stance remains the stumbling block, since they want to control his development path and prefer a European environment for his next step.

It remains to be seen whether Soler’s willingness to consider River will influence Bournemouth’s decision, or whether the Premier League club will stay firm in their plan to secure a loan within Europe.
