Atalanta’s Raoul Bellanova can depart the club this summer, with Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest in the picture to sign him.
The Italian has had a good spell in Bergamo. Since joining from Torino in 2024, he’s played 80 times in all competitions, assisting 12 times, while mainly playing at right wing-back.
Last season alone, he racked up ten assists. In the 2025/26 campaign, things didn’t quite go to plan due to a long-term injury, but he did play over 1300 minutes in Serie A.
With game time starting to dry up, the defender can leave La Dea in the summer. His profile has attracted attention from Tottenham and Nottingham Forest.
Atalanta open to deal
Tuttomercatoweb report that Bellanova’s lack of consistency in the 2025/26 campaign has made Atalanta open to an exit.
He continues to attract attention from clubs across Europe. Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest are particularly aware about his situation, with Fulham also in the race.
Luckily for the suitors, Atalanta don’t consider Bellanova to be a ‘must-have’ in their squad. They are open to offers and a fee of around €20m should be enough.
There is a chance he ends up staying in Italy. AC Milan are long-term admirers but it is uncertain whether they can make a formal move in the summer. English clubs will be more likely to be able to cover the fee, with Tottenham and Nottingham Forest attracted by Bellanova’s athletic attributes.
Our take: Bellanova is a decent squad player
Increasingly, the 26-year-old has been frustrating with his inability to find the final ball. It is often erratic and this does draw criticism, even if Bellanova has a good ability to cover ground.
This would make him a decent squad player for Tottenham Hotspur or Nottingham Forest. It is difficult to see him as a starter, also because he is mainly a wing-back and not a full-back. This allows him to fly forward, taking advanced positions instead of dropping deeper.
Atalanta have always shown a preference towards selling players to England. That is why if not Tottenham and Nottingham Forest, other clubs can soon join the race for Bellanova.
