Julio Enciso’s agent Pedro Aldave has told Versus that his client will not be short of options if he decides to leave Brighton & Hove Albion.
The 20-year-old joined the Seagulls from Paraguayan side Club Libertad in June 2022. Since then, he’s clocked in 1,892 minutes from 46 matches in all competitions.
Brighton appointed Fabian Hürzeler as Roberto De Zerbi’s successor in the summer. Enciso’s prominence hasn’t improved under the new manager and he’s been restricted to 39 minutes of action from three league games.
Versus claim these links are because the attacking midfielder hasn’t secured a new deal at The Amex. His agent has revealed he’s already held talks with the Premier League side on this subject.
“In the first season, we already spoke with Brighton [contract extension]. We had several meetings with them, we have a good relationship with the club,” he said.
According to Versus, it’s ‘very possible’ for the player to sign a new deal with Brighton. At the same time, his representative hasn’t closed the door on a possible transfer.
“It’s more than clear that they will follow Enciso and if there is an opportunity, there will be more than one team that wants to sign him,” Aldave explained.
The agent could be using this interview to send a message to Brighton to renew Enciso’s contract.
