Newcastle United’s Miguel Almirón has seen his game time restricted this season, getting 300 minutes from 10 games in all competitions.
This includes 164 minutes from three games in the EFL Cup and 47 minutes of action for the Magpies since the start of November.
Almirón’s situation at Newcastle has encouraged interest from multiple clubs.
That’s according to the 30-year-old’s agent, Daniel Campos, and he revealed this during an interview with Radio 780 AM’s Deporte Total 780. They took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to relay his comments.
The representative claims the Premier League side are only willing to let the winger leave through a permanent transfer.
“He’s very well-liked and respected. There’s a lot of interest, the club only wants to sell. He still doesn’t want to return to South America,” he said.
The agent hasn’t revealed the details of the clubs that want to take his client away from Eddie Howe’s side, likely in January. Four days ago, Campos stated Almirón’s his salary could make his exit from Newcastle complicated.
Last week, we covered claims from South America which stated MLS side Charlotte FC have returned to sign the Paraguay international in January.
Campos then stated his client has rejected an offer from an unnamed Saudi Arabian club and his desire is to continue in Europe.
