The agent of former Chelsea youngster Marcin has admitted it was Kepa Arrizabalaga’s arrival at the club that convinced his client to leave the club this summer.

Bulka arrived at Stamford Bridge in 2016, with Chelsea beating off interest from several other European sides, including Barcelona, to secure the highly-rated Polish goalkeeper from Escola.

He went on to make 31 appearances for the Blues but only for their youth sides, never making a senior appearance in his three-years at the club.

That led him to bring an end to his time in London this summer, electing not to sign a new deal at the club and instead seek out new ventures.

That ultimately led him to make a surprise move to Paris Saint Germain, with the French side snapping up the 20-year-old on a free transfer.

He’s since found himself playing the role of number three at the club, although his agent admits there was never a plan to leave Chelsea.

“Because it is one of the major clubs in Europe,” he told Paris Team when asked why the goalkeeper had chosen PSG.

“When we started the discussions, Buffon and Areola were still in Paris. For Bulka, it was interesting to be able to work with them.

“It should be noted that Marcin was supervised by the biggest European clubs while he was still living in Poland.

“In Chelsea, everything was planned for him to become titular, then the Blues made sign Kepa for seven years. Bulka had no longer any interest in staying at home.”
