If you have been following Manchester United transfer stories over the past few days, you will be aware that Altay Bayindir, widely touted to be signing, already had a medical for the transfer.
That’s because the Red Devils were seemingly worried about a back issue the player had, but he travelled to Greece to have the tests and then returned to Turkey.
Since then, it’s been revealed that Manchester United will be paying €6m for him, and some extras to take it to €7m, but Haberturk being a little bit more information on what happens next.
They explain the Red Devils are ‘preparing to add’ Bayindir to their squad, where he will be providing competition to André Onana in Erik ten Hag’s squad.
It’s revealed Manchester United have been ‘negotiating for about two months’ to get Bayindir, who ‘passed the health check’ in Greece.
However, when he does come to England, the goalkeeper will then ‘undergo a second medical’, after which he will ‘meet’ with those in charge at Old Trafford to ‘discuss the final details’ of his transfer.
Once that’s all sorted, he will be announced as the latest signing of the summer, as the club continue to try and sort out some exits before focusing on the addition of at least one more midfielder and potentially a defender.
