Nottingham Forest have looked at Bayern Munich’s Mathys Tel for the winter market.
The forward has mainly been used as a substitute this season, clocking in 224 minutes from seven matches. He has failed to score a goal or register an assist.
Nottingham Forest wanted to offer the 19-year-old an escape route in the next window.
Bild’s Englische Woche, relayed by Fussball Transfers, provides the latest on the Reds’ chances of securing his services.
It’s claimed the Premier League side have made a request to sign him on loan in January.
Tel has ‘rejected’ their approach and ‘will not move’ to Nottingham Forest. The report says if the France U21 international were to leave, he wants to join a top club.
Nuno Espírito Santo’s side don’t fall into this category as per the player, which is why he has turned them down. They would have to look at another player if they wish to improve their attack for the second half of this season.
The website says other unnamed Premier League sides, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Werder Bremen, FC Augsburg and VfB Stuttgart are said to be the attacker’s interested parties.
