It seems Odysseas Vlachodimos’ time at Nottingham Forest could be a lot shorter than expected.

Since joining the Tricky Trees at the start of the season, the goalkeeper only made seven appearances, having failed to feature in the Premier League since the start of December.

Now according to Greek journalist Giannis Chorianopoulos, Vlachodimos may already be planning an exit from Nottingham Forest.

On X, formerly Twitter, the reporter claims that in case the goalkeeper has ‘no satisfying game time’, he will leave the City Ground at the end of the season.

Nottingham Forest only paid €4.9m to take Vlachodimos from Benfica last summer, as the player had lost his place at the Eagles and was looking for a way out late in the window.

It always seemed clear that he’d be an alternative for Matt Turner, though, and now with the arrival of Matz Sels, it becomes even more unlikely that the Greek will have some regular playing time.

Vlachodimos’ contract with Nottingham Forest runs until 2027, so we will see how this situation will develop between now and the summer, with a departure looking more and more likely.
