On Friday, Corriere dello Sport reported AFC Bournemouth refused to let Lloyd Kelly leave in the winter market, after AC Milan made an approach. It was also stated there’s been slow progress with regards to his renewal.
The centre-back’s deal runs down at the end of this season and the Serie A side want to sign him on a free transfer.
Tuttosport also state Bournemouth turned down the Rossoneri’s approach in January and then provide fresh updates on this case.
With regards to his renewal, the report states the 25-year-old won’t extend his deal and ‘will leave’ the Cherries in the summer. This has seen him attract interest from several clubs in England, as well as from Milan and Juventus.
Stefano Pioli’s side have been following the defender for a while and he’s their main target for the summer. It’s claimed Milan technical director Geoffrey Moncada is pleased with the player’s performances, after watching him closely on several occasions.
Moncada, along with Milan CEO Giorgio Furlani and sporting director Antonio D’Ottavio, continues to work to sign the Bournemouth player.
Tuttosport state the Milan officials have had several contacts with Kelly’s camp and could ‘soon make a decisive move’ to get ahead of the competition from the Premier League.
