The Sofyan Amrabat saga continues to be one of the big topics in Fiorentina’s transfer market, as they keep waiting for Manchester United to come and bid for him.
The latest information on this chase was today brought by journalist Alfredo Pedulla, who on Passione Fiorentina’s Twitch Channel, claimed that the Red Devils still wait to make their move.
In quotes relayed by Labaro Viola, the reporter claimed that Manchester United still need sales before moving for Amrabat, and there’s no real deadline for that to happen, as long as it gets done before the end of the transfer window.
“If the Red Devils find the treasure (from sales), he will go to United,” said Pedulla.
Manchester United already spent €191.7m in signings this summer, with the arrival of Rasmus Hojlund, Mason Mount and André Onana.
The Red Devils, however, continue to find difficult to sell their players for a good price. Their biggest exit was Anthony Elanga’s, who left for Nottingham Forest for €17.5m. Added to Fred, Matej Kovar, Alex Telles and Zidane Iqbal, the club only made €27.8m with outgoing moves.
Amrabat’s arrival should also have to do with the exit of another midfielder, so the situations of Scott Mctominay and Donny van de Beek could also have an impact on this saga.
