Napoli defender Kim Min-jae ‘will fly to Manchester United’ when the transfer window opens to finalise his move to Old Trafford.
That’s according to Corriere dello Sport, who say he patiently ‘waits’ for the opening of the window to get his big move to the Premier League.
Kim has been one of the stars of Napoli’s title success this season after arriving in the summer as a replacement for Kalidou Koulibaly.
He’s aptly replaced the former fan favourite and then some, with a series of impressive performances in the heart of Napoli’s defence earning him suitors all around Europe.
Manchester United are one of theme and a report late last week made it clear they were close to finalising a deal, with those in charge completing the final parts of the transfer this summer.
Indeed, the situation was so advanced that a house in Manchester had already been secured for Kim, a clear sign that he would be moving to Manchester United sooner rather than later.
Corriere back that up, stating that Kim ‘waits for the window to open’ at which point he ‘will fly to Manchester United’ and complete his transfer.
That will see Napoli pocket €58m in a transfer fee, which will be used to buy his replacement, which will either be Atalanta’s Giorgio Scalvini or another foreign player.
Either way, they are already eyeing up replacements and Kim seems to have his eyes on Manchester United, where he will fly as soon as he is allowed to.
