Marc Leonard came up through the ranks of Brighton & Hove Albion’s youth system and has only played two games for their senior team so far.
The midfielder spent the last two seasons on loan at League One side Northampton Town. He has a year left on his deal, but his future is away from the Amex.
That’s according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who he took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to claim the 22-year-old will ‘definitely leave’ Brighton in the summer window.
He says MLS club Los Angeles FC and Danish side FC Copenhagen have shown the most interest in securing the Brighton man’s services. Tavolieri further adds these two are now discussing personal terms with the Scottish midfielder.
The Premier League side, for their part, are willing to fulfil Leonard’s wishes this summer. They are requesting for a deal worth around £400,000 including bonuses, and Los Angeles FC and Copenhagen may not find it difficult to match.
The journalist makes no mention of the player’s preference or who is currently ahead in the race to sign him.
