Leganes defender Diego Rico is edging closer towards joining AFC Bournemouth this summer transfer window.
According to Marca, the 25-year-old will play in the Premier League in the 2018/19 season. Eddie Howe’s side have been trying to sign the full-back since June 2017, but their offers were not sufficient for the Spanish club to sanction their player’s sale.
An earlier report from AS suggested Bournemouth’s first two bids of €8m and €10m were turned down by Mauricio Pellegrino’s side for the former Real Zaragoza man.
Marca now claims the Cherries will pay €15m for Rico, which convinced the La Liga outfit to allow the left-back to join the English club.
The two clubs were able to reach an agreement as Bournemouth’s offer was interesting enough for Leganes.
Rico’s impending move to the Vitality Stadium will be the ‘biggest sale’ for the La Liga outfit.
‘In the next hours’ the Spaniard will arrive in England and undergo medical tests before his transfer is made official.
