Brazilian wonderkid Luis Guilherme now seems to be one step from joining West Ham United.
According to Globo Esporte, the player has already flown to England to have his medicals for the Hammers.
The story claims there’s even a chance the transfer will be concluded this week, and in that case, Luis Guilherme will no longer play for Palmeiras.
West Ham are initially paying €23m for the signing, with another €7m in performance bonuses. The Brazilian club will then have the right to 20% of potential profit from a future transfer.
Globo Esporte point out that Luis Guilherme had been away with the U-20 national team, and Palmeiras authorised him to travel to England for the medical tests.
It’s said the player has been seen as a big talent since he played for Palmeiras’ U-11 squad. Now at the age of 18, he has 45 appearances for their first team, with one goal and one assist.
The Brazilian side are producing multiple big talents, with Endrick going to Real Madrid and Estêvão moving to Chelsea. Now West Ham are joining the party too.
