Player ‘on his way’ to Tottenham in coming days – Confidence deal set to be done

Tottenham officials ‘intensified contacts’ with Sporting Club de Portugal yesterday over a deal for Pedro Porro to join this month.

That’s according to A Bola, who say that all Tottenham need to do is ‘agree payment deadlines and conditions’ to get their man.

Sporting are currently focused on the league cup final and only after that will they deal with finding a replacement for the Spaniard before the transfer window closes.

They, though, are expecting a deal for Porro to be struck sooner rather than later and Tottenham are certainly pushing for him.

They’ve been keen on Porro since the summer transfer window, with Antonio Conte determined to add a right-wing back to his squad as that is a problem area in his squad.

Sporting have consistently refused to sell the player for anything other than his €45m release clause and it now seems Spurs will pay that.

A Bola say that it is a ‘guarantee’ that the full-back is ‘on his way’ fromAlvaiade in exchange for that figure and it just a case of Tottenham and Sporting working out ‘payment deadlines and conditions’ as well as other issues regarding the transfer.
