VfB Stuttgart defender Borna Sosa ‘wants to take the next step’ in his career, with Tottenham hovering ahead of a potential summer move.

That’s according to SportBILD, who say the defender wants a move in the summer and could be on his way after years of being linked with a transfer.

The Croatian has been at Stuttgart since joining from Dinamo Zagreb in 2018 and has impressed, with give goals and 32 assists to his name in 101 appearances for the club.

He has been ‘on the verge’ of leaving several times as a result, with it often ‘only a matter of details’ that stopped him from doing so.

He was again linked with a move away in January when Bayer Leverkusen wanted to sign him after he enjoyed a strong World Cup campaign in Qatar with Croatia.

Once again no deal was struck but he is set to be the target of interest again this summer, with  Tottenham among the ‘interested parties’ already lining up.

They face competition from Real Sociedad and Sevilla in Spain, who also have their ‘eye on him’. They know a deal is possible as the player has made no secret of the fact he ‘would be tempted by a transfer’ at the end of the season.

At the moment, though, his goal is to help Stuttgart to stay in the league, at which point he will then decide his future, with Tottenham among those lining him up as their next left-back.
