Three days ago, we covered claims from Italy which stated Arsenal ‘seem to be serious’ about signing Dusan Vlahovic, but would need to pay more than €80m should they wish to sign the Serbia international in the winter market.
The Italian report stated Arsenal ‘are waiting to see how the negotiations for the renewal with Juve will end’. That made it appear that the Gunners were being used to try and pressure the Turin club into offering a higher salary than they otherwise would.
Similar happened when Vlahovic moved from Fiorentina to Juventus in the first place, with Arsenal dragged into the picture back then too.
Calciomercato go over the player’s situation today, and explain his agent has been seen in Turin, which would obviously suggest talks are on again.
The striker’s contract runs until June 2026, so there’s a bit of pressure on the Serie A side. Vlahovic himself is said to be looking for a long-term agreement with Juventus, to give him ‘serenity’ and to quieten the ‘sirens that lead mainly to England and Arsenal’.
Again, it appears Arsenal are being mentioned for no other reason than drama and to help pile the pressure on Juve.
