In case you were wondering what Clément Lenglet’s stance about his future at Aston Villa, Calciomercato bring an article on the matter.
The defender is currently on loan at Villa Park from Barcelona, but he has yet to be used in the Premier League by Unai Emery, who has limited him to Conference League football only.
That has led to AC Milan being keen on getting a deal done with the Catalan side, but would need permission from Aston Villa to break the current loan.
This has yet to be granted, and there is also the big question mark surrounding his wages, which are too excessive for the Italians to handle alone, meaning Barcelona would have to contribute.
We all know the Spaniards are tight for money themselves, meaning this, according to Calciomercato, is only ‘an idea’ for now down Milan’s end.
What isn’t, though, is Lenglet’s desire to exit from Aston Villa, as it’s made clear he ‘wants to leave’ Villa Park in the foreseeable future to get some more minutes under his belt.
