For the past few days, we’ve covered multiple claims from both Germany and France that Bayern Munich’s Benjamin Pavard is keen on joining Manchester United.
His deal expires in 2024 and the Bavarian club are open to cashing in from his sale, as long as their demands are met.
Bild now state Inter Milan have joined the race to sign the defender but he ‘wants to go to Manchester United’ this summer.
It’s claimed the Serie A side have offered €25m but this isn’t enough to convince Bayern, who want at least €35-40m to sanction the France international’s sale.
Bild add Manchester United, for their part, have made first contact. However, they haven’t tabled an offer so far.
The Nerazzurri’s interest in the 27-year-old is also reported by Alfredo Pedullà. He states Inter intend to raise their offer to €30m including bonuses.
Pedullà adds the ‘real danger for Inter is represented’ by Manchester United, who have been chasing the player for a while. However, Erik ten Hag’s side have to get rid of some of their players before making an approach for Pavard.
This could give Inter time to move ahead of Manchester United in the transfer race.
