Following all recent reports about Bayern Munich and Fulham being in advanced talks for the transfer of João Palhinha, it seems it’s the player who wants the move completed as soon as possible.
According to Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg, the midfielder would like the deal ‘done aand sealed’ this week, before the Euros start.
It’s said Palhinha only wants to leave Fulham for Bayern, as that’s his ‘big dream’, and there are no talks with any other clubs right now.
The midfielder’s entourage is now said to be waiting for the ‘green light’ in the talks between the Whites and the Bundesliga giants.
Bayern Munich president Max Eberl is said to be pushing to get the deal done for between €40m and €45m, which simply feels too low.
Several reports at the start of this week have already claimed that Fulham rejected the initial bid, worth a few million less than that, and the German club may now make the definitive bid.
Palhinha was of course the subject of a failed move to Bayern Munich, so he’ll know better than most that a transfer isn’t certain to happen until it’s completed.
