Player waiting for Tottenham as transfer rivals make offer – Refusing to give ‘definitive approval’

Genoa defender Radu Dragusin is holding Napoli’s potential offer off for the time being, as he waits for a possible second bid from Tottenham.

That’s according to Il Mattino, relayed by Napoli Magazine, who cover the contract offer the Serie A champions are willing to make for the defender and which Tottenham will potentially have to beat.

Dragusin has found himself a wanted man in this window, with Tottenham and Napoli both competing to secure his signature.

Both clubs have already moved to try and get a deal done with Genoa, who so far are rebuffing their efforts and holding out for the best price possible.

Either way, they are also making their proposals to the defender and Il Mattino reported that Napoli have offered a five-year deal worth €2m per season with increasing bonuses.

That’s in line with what the defender’s agent has in mind for his client but he has not yet given a ‘definitive approval’ to Napoli as he ‘awaits a possible relaunch from Tottenham’ or even another Premier League team.

Tottenham are yet to make a second bid for the defender after their first offer was rejected by a report earlier today indicated that second bid would arrive at some point soon.

Dragusin certainly seems to be expecting it, anyway, holding Napoli at arm’s length for the time being waiting to see what they can offer before deciding his future.
