The French media continues to bring positive updates on Crystal Palace’s chase for Lens midfielder Cheick Doucouré.

Today, it’s La Voix Des Sports who writes that the player agrees in moving to the Selhurst Park this summer, and is currently ‘waiting’ for the clubs to get to a deal.

The outlet claims that Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira ‘ardently wishes’ the 22-year-old’s arrival, as the sides currently talk about the move.

The deal would be made for around €25m, and as the talks go on, the deal is said to be ‘in the hands of the clubs’.

This month, we’ve already seen optimistic claims from France regarding that move.

It was first reported by L’Equipe that the player had found ‘common ground’ for an agreement with Crystal Palace.

The Premier League side’s first offer, however, was said to be of €17m, and with Lens demanding over €25m to let Doucouré go, it now seems it’s all a matter of raising the bid and landing the player, who seems keen on completing the move.
