Leeds United could finalise a deal for Bayern Munich midfielder Marc Roca today, with the player set to undergo a medical this morning.
That’s according to AS, who say the medical is the ‘last step’ ahead of his proposed move to Elland Road.
According to their information, Roca is ‘set to join’ Leeds after they reached an agreement with Bayern for a deal that will be worth €12m plus variables.
That agreement came after Leeds found a deal with the midfielder, who will sign a contract until 2026.
This is all backed up by Sky Germany, who say the medical is already underway and back up the information from AS. They add, though, that the variables in the deal will be worth €5m.
The move is considered as a ‘relatively inexpensive’ one for a player who is ‘one of the forgotten gems’ of Spanish football.
It will also allow Leeds to add further competition to their midfield and a potential replacement for Kalvin Phillips, who is being linked with a move to Manchester City.
That potential deal is yet to progress beyond the rumours stage, though, and so for the moment, Roca will be another reinforcement for Jesse Marsch’s squad.
