Everton’s agreement with Juventus for Moise Kean stopped the Italian side from getting rid of the striker this summer.
That’s according to Corriere dello Sport, who cover the striker’s situation today and how he now finds himself out of the picture under Massimiliano Allegri.
The newspaper explains that while new signing Arkadiusz Milik is laughing and smiling, the same cannot be said of Moise Kean, who is the ‘sad face’ of the Juventus attack.
He was recently a starter against Spezia playing in a left-wing position, one which does not suit him properly and what could have been a great opportunity proved to be something of a disaster for him.
He was subsequently subbed off and headed straight for the changing room; an image that represents his situation clearly.
The striker is no longer considered a part of Juventus’ plans and was deemed anything but non-transferable this summer.
Indeed, the player was ‘willingly accepting’ the hypothesis of a new adventure elsewhere but found himself ‘trapped by the agreement with Everton.’
That is a two-year loan deal with a mandatory purchase clause for next summer; something Juventus are keen to avoid but seemingly cannot.
They had tried to move Kean on this summer and reach an agreement with Everton but the current deal ‘did not allow margins of manoeuvre’ and he remained in Turin instead.
It now remains to be seen if he can work his way back into Allegri’s affections but at the moment that does not appear to be likely, and he is ‘in the rear of the hierarchies’ at the club.
