Ramón Sosa will travel to England today to finalise his move to Nottingham Forest, with a medical booked in and a verbal agreement in place.
That’s according to the Paraguayan edition of ABC, who say the saga around the forward could be coming to an end.
Reports yesterday indicated that Nottingham Forest had finally struck a deal with Talleres for Sosa, who has been linked with a move to England for months.
Nottingham Forest have moved to the front of the queue in recent weeks and a deal appeared to be done before it then stalled as Talleres became frustrated with Forest’s efforts to change the structure.
Talleres president Andrés Fassi provided a positive update on the matter yesterday, confirming that there was an agreement in place, and they were waiting for Nottingham Forest to send an agreement through.
That may have now happened as ABC report that Sosa will travel to England today for medical tests at Nottingham Forest.
They say that there is a verbal agreement in place with the player and Talleres over a deal which will cost €16.7m. This will be €11.7m in a fixed payment and an additional €5m in bonuses if objectives are met. Talleres have also retained 15% on a future transfer.
Sosa will sign a deal until June 2029.
