For what seems like about the eighth time in his career, it’s being reported Gonzalo Higuain is set to travel to London today and join a Premier League club.

This time it’s Chelsea, and the Blues have been involved in the rumours before, during the summer window, when a move to Stamford Bridge was also presented as very likely.

Arsenal at one stage had their own Higuain saga, before the striker eventually left Real Madrid for his spell in Italian football.

This time, it feels like the real thing, and AS report Higuain is scheduled to fly in and have his medical. Should everything go ok, and there are no predicted issues, then he’ll become a Chelsea player.

That move will send Alvaro Morata closer to an Atletico Madrid loan, and in turn mean Gelson Martins and Nikola Kalinic will be encouraged further to find new clubs before the end of the month.

Calciomercato.it say Higuain left Milan’s Linate airport at 8am on a private jet set for London Farnborough.
