Jens Cajuste is on his way to joining Brentford.
He had a dull spell last season at Napoli, who themselves had one of the worst title defences in Serie A history.
Sacha Tavolieri has now revealed that Cajuste will have his medical with Brentford soon and the Swedish midfielder will travel to England on Sunday.
Later today, Napoli will take on Modena in their Coppa Italia opener and he will leave Italy after that, with the medical expected to take place on Monday.
Brentford are ‘exchanging documents’ to put the final pieces of the move together, with the midfielder to arrive on an initial loan with the obligation to buy.
We had previously looked at Corriere dello Sport’s claim about Ipswich Town’s interest in the 24-year-old, but it now definitely seems as if Brentford have beaten Ipswich to seal the move.
Cajuste finds himself in a similar situation to Jesper Lindstrøm, who also joined Napoli last summer, was another victim of the chaos there, and has move to the Premier League with Everton.
