Last week, Crystal Palace were mentioned as a potential candidate to land Botafogo midfielder Luiz Henrique.
There have now been more developments around the Brazilian, who also interests Italian side Fiorentina.
La Nazione, as relayed by LabaroViola, have reported that La Viola are yet to meet Botafogo’s asking price for Luiz Henrique. In the meantime, Lyon have now dropped out of the chase for the 24-year-old winger.
This means that the player has to pick between Crystal Palace and Fiorentina and the decision is currently said to be completely down to Luiz Henrique himself.
To make sure they land the Brazilian, Fiorentina are now trying to raise money through sales. Christian Kouame and Jonathan Ikone are the key candidates to depart but there is encouragement for Crystal Palace, because those two players earn high salaries and that is holding back their sale.
It doesn’t seem as if the Florence club will back away and the Eagles will have to hurry, if they want to sign Luiz Henrique.
Botafogo want a fee of €30m and if the London club meet that asking price, they could land him.
