Celtic’s Sead Hakšabanović was on loan at Stoke City last season and his future is set to be away from Brendan Rodgers’ side.
Last month, we covered claims from Sweden that Verona, Torino and Parma are interested in the winger. It was also stated Celtic, who paid €2.5m to sign him in 2022, value him at €3m.
The Celtic player won’t be moving to Italy as Sweden’s Expressen now claim he’s set to join Malmö FF.
Fotboll Direkt first reported that Malmö are buying the 25-year-old from Brendan Rodgers’ side. They also said the Celtic man will be ‘presented shortly’ at the Swedish club.
This is backed up by Expressen, who then provide their own information on this case. It’s claimed the Montenegro international has agreed a five-year deal with Malmö, who now have to find an agreement with Celtic.
Sources have informed Expressen that Malmö and Celtic will ‘agree on the framework of the deal’. The two clubs are working to agree a deal ‘shortly’ for the player’s transfer.
There’s no mention of Celtic’s request or the fee Malmö will offer to sign Hakšabanović.
