A week ago, Gianluca Di Marzio reported Queens Park Rangers are waiting for Kenneth Paal’s exit to sign Gianluca Frabotta. QPR haven’t yet managed to offload Paal and West Bromwich Albion have now joined the race for the Juventus player.
That’s according to TuttoMercatoWeb, who state West Brom have ‘come between’ QPR and the left-back.
Martí Cifuentes’ side and West Brom are set to battle it out for the 25-year-old’s signature this summer.
West Brom’s interest in Frabotta is backed up by Gianluca Di Marzio, who then shares his own update on this case.
The Baggies have overtaken QPR in the race for the Italian. His deal lasts until 2026 and the journalist says West Brom have reached an agreement with Juventus, to sign him on a free transfer and will offer 20% of a future sale.
West Brom have also agreed a three-year contract with the player, which is apparently a better deal when compared to the one proposed by QPR.
Frabotta’s agent Francesco Salerno is in England, and Di Marzio adds he’ll undergo a West Brom medical and sign a contract on Tuesday.
The fullback joined the Turin club in 2019, and has been out on loan since the start of the 2021/22 season. Frabotta is set to leave them permanently in this window.
