In the past few days, there’s been big expectation from the Portuguese press as they wait to see if Alex Telles will be able to feature for Porto in the Champions League against Liverpool.

Now it turns out this morning, the left-back was part of the group which travelled to England. Not only him, but also Pepe and Hector Herrera, even with both players being suspended for this game.

Although Telles’ inclusion in the squad is positive, newspaper Correio da Manhã claims that the player’s place in the team is still not guaranteed.

They say the Brazilian would have tests this morning, which already happened, and more as close to the game as possible, so manager Sérgio Conceição can know if he’s ready to play.

That should mean Liverpool must have two plans to face Porto. Because with five goals and ten assists this season and four goals and 20 assists the season before, Telles is a very important attacking player for the Dragons. If he doesn’t play, then Sérgio Conceição will have to adapt a defender at left-back, and that should totally change Porto’s way of playing.

And for Jurgen Klopp to know that, he’ll have to wait until one hour before the game.
