With Karim Benzema agreeing his departure from Real Madrid to Al-Ittihad, it’s no surprise to see the La Liga giants linked to all the big strikers potentially available.
Their chase for Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane has been a rumour for a long time, and obviously returned with a bang after the Benzema news.
It turns out that when interviewed by El Chiringuito (via Marca), Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez was asked about the club’s objectives in the market.
First speaking of Paris Saint Germain star Kylian Mbappé, the Spaniard claimed he should be signed right away.
“Mbappé? If it were up to me, I would bring him this summer. Logically.”
Then Nacho also spoke about Harry Kane, claiming the Tottenham forward would do well at Real Madrid.
“Harry Kane would fit in perfectly this summer and Mbappé would come the next.”
Harry Kane’s contract with Tottenham expires next year, and that places Spurs in a more delicate position regarding his potential sale.
Last week, Marca claimed his signing is a ‘priority’ for Real Madrid, and the player himself gave his ‘approval’ for the operation. Now the La Liga side work on the toughest part, which is to find a deal with Daniel Levy.
