A week ago, FC Metz’s Pape Matar Sarr was strongly linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

On August 21st, L’Equipe explained the north London club ‘could finally recruit’ the 18-year-old despite interest from other Premier League sides.

Three days later, Foot Mercato stated there was ‘total agreement’ between the two clubs and the midfielder was keen on completing the transfer.

Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna took to Twitter to once again state Spurs have found an agreement with the Ligue 1 side and further add the teenager has ‘passed his medical examination successfully yesterday’.

He adds Pape Matar Sarr will sign a five-year contract with Nuno Espírito Santo’s side and then return to Metz on a season-long loan deal.

Aouna, however, explains there are ‘still some details to settle’ before the midfielder’s transfer to Tottenham is made official.

These ‘details’ are likely to be sorted out soon, and with the two sides having an agreement in place and Pape Matar Sarr passing his medical, the transfer should be made official soon.
