Eric Bailly has now arrived in Turkey to complete his Besiktas career and his spell with Manchester United came to an end.
TRTSpor journalist Mustafa Korkusuz shows on Twitter the player arriving at the airport to sign with the Istanbul side.
This week, reports from the Turkish media had been showing big eagerness about Bailly’s arrival at Besiktas.
The defender reportedly agreed a one-year deal with the club, and had been working to terminate his contract with Manchester United.
That should mean he’s joining Besiktas on a free move, although Manchester United didn’t confirm that in their statement.
Bailly joined Manchester United in a €38m deal in 2016. During his time with the Red Devils, he made 133 appearances, and was part of the squad which won the Europa League and the League Cup in the 206/07 season.
Since the arrival of Erik ten Hag to the club, though, the defender found himself with no place in the Red Devils’s squad. That’s why he spent last season on loan at Marseille, and now agrees his permanent departure to the Turkish club.
