Chelsea loanee Kepa Arrizabalaga is set to have his ‘last dance’ with Real Madrid soon, the Spanish media says.
AS today features a story claiming that the La Liga side are ‘proud of his attitude’ and want to give him a farewell match there.
Even though there’s nothing confirmed, it’s likely that Kepa will start for Real Madrid in tonight’s match against Alavés.
The outlet claims Real Madrid are not interested in signing the goalkeeper from Chelsea on a permanent deal. It’s said that would not be a complex operation, but since Thibaut Courtois has now returned from injury, there’s no reason to spend on another player for the position.
Kepa showed good behaviour in his time at the La Liga side, as despite arriving to temporarily be their number one, he ended up on the bench, and never complained about it.
That’s one of the reasons why they’re letting him play in at least one of their final games of the season. Then the goalkeeper returns to Chelsea, where he has a contract running until 2025.
