Paris Saint-Germain youngster Ayman Kari has turned down a potential move to Everton or Leicester City in favour of another loan deal at Lorient.
That’s according to RMC Sport, who say the youngster has elected to remain at the club where he was on loan last season than to move to England.
They explain that Kari was a part of Lorient training today after striking a deal with the French club to rejoin them on loan this summer.
He was with them on a temporary basis from PSG last season, making five appearances in the first team as well as one appearance for Lorient’s B team.
That lack of appearances hadn’t stopped him earning attention from England, where he was being ‘courted’ by both Everton and Leicester.
He, though, has elected to snub interest from both of those sides in favour of staying where he is, signing another loan deal at Lorient that includes an option to make the move permanent for €5m.
He has seemingly picked stability over a new adventure in England, perhaps hoping for more appearances for Lorient next season after breaking into the first team towards the end of last season.
How much his decision is a blow to Everton, who appear to be selling off most of their youngsters this summer, and Leicester, is up for debate but their apparent interest could be something to keep an eye out for next year if he manages to impress in the coming season.
