Luis Guilherme has already signed his contract with West Ham United, according to reports from Brazil.
Band journalist Gustavo Soler claims that the player is joining the Hammers on a contract until 2029, with an option for an extra year.
West Ham are reportedly paying an initial €23m for the signing, plus a potential €7m in performance bonuses.
It’s said that Palmeiras also managed to convince the Hammers to cover all taxes in the operations, and the Brazilian club will still get 20% if the London side profits from a future transfer.
Band highlights the fact that Luis Guilherme won at least one title at each youth level he played at Palmeiras.
The 18-year-old has been playing for their first team since last year. He had one goal and one assist in 45 appearances for them.
Luis Guilherme can play in multiple attacking positions, and even though he was mostly used on the wings, it’s already been claimed by the Brazilian media that he prefers to play centrally.
We should soon get to see if he’ll get some chances to play for West Ham straight away, or if he’ll need a longer time of adaptation to English football.
