Jairo Riedewald is set to finally complete his transfer from Ajax to Crystal Palace, report Voetbal International.
The 20 year old defender will sign a ‘multi-year’ contract with the Premier League club on Monday afternoon, and then fly to Asia to join Crystal Palace on their preseason tour.
Voetbal International claim that Newcastle United were also especially interested in the player, but weren’t able to beat Palace to the deal. Everton are mentioned as another team that have been beaten, but last week it was claimed Ronald Koeman had moved on to other targets.
Anyway, Riedewald is off to Crystal Palace, and the 20 year old will first sign his contract in London, before heading out to Asia to meet up with his new teammates.
This is clearly very much a Frank de Boer signing and shows the manager’s input is getting through already at Crystal Palace.
