On June 19th, TuttoMercaoWeb carried a report claiming Southampton ‘are working with the agent’ of Bordeaux’s Francois Kamano.
Sunday’s edition of French newspaper L’Equipe claimed the 23-year-old is in the sights of the Premier League club.
It was also explained Sevilla are interested in the Guinea international, but the Ligue 1 side are yet to receive an offer from the Spanish club.
Kamano still has four years left on his contract and L’Equipe believe his employer will sanction his sale in the summer transfer window, if they receive a ‘satisfactory offer’.
Unfortunately, the French outlet doesn’t specify what is ‘satisfactory’ for Bordeaux and they also don’t suggest if Southampton will make an approach for him or not.
Saints have already signed Moussa Djenepo this summer and his preferred position is on the left wing, the same as Kamano.
Ralph Hasenhüttl has the services of Nathan Redmond and Mohamed Elyounoussi in the same position and the options will only increase with Sofiane Boufal’s return from his loan spell at Celta Vigo.
