Ecuadorian youngster Kendry Páez is set to travel to Chelsea tomorrow for the latest part of his integration into life at Stamford Bridge.
That’s according to El Universo, who say the youngster will stay in England until the 26th of February as part of the plan for the midfielder.
Páez currently plays for Independiente in Ecuador but is set to join Chelsea in July 2025 after they moved quickly to sign him for the future.
He’s been left developing in his homeland ever since waiting to turn 18 to join Chelsea on a permanent basis but has been travelling to link up with the Blues periodically ahead of that move.
El Universo now report he will repeat that again this month, with the youngster set to travel to London this weekend and ‘complete a new microcycle’ before the Ecuadorian Pro League starts.
The plan is to travel this weekend and stay with Chelsea until the 26th, four days before the start of the league.
It will be Páez’s second experience with Chelsea, with the plan for him to be in regular contact with Mauricio Pochettino and the coaching staff so they can know each other better.
There will also be the chance for him to watch the Blues take on Liverpool in the League Cup final and see compatriot Moisés Caicedo in action.
El Universo explain that Chelsea ‘do not want to waste time’ and instead ensure the Ecuadorian arrives at the club next year knowing the customs of the team and fully adapted, avoiding any issues so he can hit the ground running at Stamford Bridge.
