The Brazilian media now brings an update on the future of Liverpool midfielder Arthur Melo.
UOL reports that given he’s out of Jurgen Klopp’s plans, the player should leave the Reds at the end of the season.
Arthur is currently loaned by Juventus, and only featured once for Liverpool this season, with a few minutes played in the opening round of the Champions League group stage against Napoli.
The midfielder then went through surgery and is only expected to be used by the Reds’ U-21 squad this season.
According to UOL, Arthur shouldn’t stay at Juve either, with the Serie A giants looking to put him on the market in the next transfer window.
A loan to Brazil is also said to be off the table, with the report claiming there isn’t the ‘slightest chance’ he’ll be moving back to his home country, as the priority is to keep him in Europe.
Arthur had been the only defensive midfielder signed by Liverpool last summer, and his unexpected flop is probably one of the many reasons why the Reds are having so many problems this season.
