Chelsea have paid €60m plus bonuses to sign RB Leipzig star Christopher Nkunku, who has already signed his contract with the Blues.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who say the player is ‘all set’ to make the move to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
They report that the deal taking Nkunku to London has been done ‘for weeks’ and the Blues have ‘not skimped’ on payment to secure the forward’s signature.
FM report that the Chelsea have paid €60m plus bonuses to sign the Leipzig star, a figure which is more than the player’s release clause.
The former PSG man was Toddy Boehly’s ‘top priority’ for the transfer window and Nkunku was ‘attracted by the project’ presented to him during talks.
He is now ‘set to discover’ the Premier League after three impressive seasons in the Bundesliga with Leipzig.
The Frenchman’s deal at Chelsea is expected to be a long-term one, something considered an ‘excellent deal’ for Boehly and indeed Graham Potter, who will have a new attacking talent at his disposal.
