Jaka Bijol is closing in on a move to Leeds United from Udinese, with a medical now booked.

That’s according to Udinese Blog, who report that Bijol is undergoing medical examinations at Leeds today before completing a move.

They state that the Slovenian defender is already in West Yorkshire ready to start his new life in the Premier League. He has been eyeing a move away from Udinese since the end of the season and made it clear to the Italian club.

He wants to leave after three years and has been given his chance to do so in the Premier League with Leeds.

They’ve been working on a deal for the last week and a report earlier this week stated that his representatives were flying to England to finalise the deal. That appears to have been achieved as Bijol is now booked in for a medical today.

Should he complete that as expected, his move should be completed promptly, and he’ll become Leeds second signing of the summer in what is likely to be a busy few months for Daniel Farke’s side.
